ApprenticeshipNH Celebrates the First Youth Apprenticeship Week in NH

This year marks the first-ever Youth Apprenticeship Week, a nationwide celebration highlighting the benefits and value of Registered Apprenticeship program opportunities for youth from age 16 to 24. Registered Apprenticeship career opportunities allow youth to earn competitive wages while obtaining relevant training, experience, and even college credit before they start their careers.

From May 5-11, employers, educators, and community partners will be hosting events across the country, with many occurring in NH, to bring awareness to life-changing apprenticeship opportunities. Here is a run-down of Youth Apprenticeship Week events hosted by ApprenticeshipNH:

  • On Tuesday, May 7, ApprenticeshipNH will be hosting a virtual Explore Registered Apprenticeship for Youth information session from 6-7 p.m. Families are welcome to join and learn more about pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship opportunities: what they are, how they work, and where to find them.
  • ApprenticeshipNH will be visiting the Seacoast Transition Fair on Wednesday, May 8, from 4-6 p.m. Staff will be on-site to share information about current opportunities and registered apprenticeship pathways. This event will be hosted at Exeter High School and the public is welcome to attend.
  • On May 8, Apprenticeship NH will also be sharing information at the Spaulding High School Career Fair, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. This event is not open to the public, but Spaulding High School students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to attend. Students are welcome to stop by our booth and learn all about exciting opportunities to kick-start your career!

Don’t miss out on these exciting opportunities to learn about potential career paths and life-changing opportunities that create a pipeline of skilled and diverse talent for critical industries, right here in NH. To learn more about ApprenticeshipNH high school opportunities, click here.
