Carpenter

Taylor Community – Laconia and Wolfeboro, NH

Taylor Community is looking for quality, caring people to join our team. We offer industry-leading benefits, excellent salaries, career advancement opportunities, and training.  Working with our professional carpenters, you will learn to master the trade of carpentry. Our carpenters work on all phases of remodeling and home improvement including kitchens, baths, flooring, windows, decks, additions and full-scale renovations.

About the Program:

  • The length of the program is three years and includes 6,000 hours of paid on-the-job training with a mentor
  • 455 hours of related instruction provided through the Community College System of NH (CCSNH) in partnership with National Center for Construction and Education Research (NCCER)
  • Starting hourly wage $ 16.00
  • Ending hourly wage $ 23.00

The total funding of the ApprenticeshipNH initiative is $10.6 million with 99% funded through the following US Department of Labor-Employment and Training Administration Grants at the dollar amounts indicated: Apprenticeship State Expansion (ASE) Grant-$1.35 million, State Apprenticeship Expansion 2020 (SAE2020) Grant- $3.45 million, Apprenticeship Building America (ABA) Grant $5.8 million. Additional scholarship support of less than 1% is provided by 3rd party scholarship grants for programs developed through the ASE and SAE grants.
