Licensed Nursing Assistant Registered Apprenticeship, Seacoast:
This apprenticeship program includes 144 hours of classroom instruction offered through Great Bay Community College plus 2,000 hours of paid on-the-job training, and prepares apprentices to work as nursing assistants in full-time jobs, providing direct patient care with a healthcare employer in the Seacoast region. During the apprenticeship, students will be able to sit for the state certification exam and submit their LNA license application to the NH Board of Nursing.
The program is anticipated to begin in June 2021, and will offer full-time wages, benefits, and tuition paid by the employer.
Medical Assistant Registered Apprenticeship, Manchester & Exeter:
This apprenticeship program includes 1.5 years of paid on-the-job training plus 12 weeks employer-funded classroom training offered through either Manchester or Great Bay Community College. Apprentices will receive guaranteed pay increases throughout the course of the program, and will be trained hands-on to work as medical assistants in outpatient practices. Apprentices will also receive a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification upon completion of the classroom training.
The program is anticipated to begin in July 2021, and will offer full-time wages, benefits, and tuition assistance from the participating employers.
