Are you an employer looking to build your workforce? Are you interested in exploring registered apprenticeship as a career option? Look no further than the ApprenticeshipNH Summit! Join us for a comprehensive event where you’ll gain all the insights and resources needed to embark on the journey of registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. Employers, career seekers, community organizations, and state agencies will learn from experts, explore career opportunities, participate in interactive workshops, and network to form partnerships.

    • RAP 101: Apprenticeship is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience, classroom instruction, and a nationally-recognized, portable credential. Employers register their programs with the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) to show prospective job seekers that their apprenticeship program meets national quality standards.
    • WorkReadyNH Overview: WorkReadyNH is a practical, tuition-FREE professional development program that builds the skills that help employees succeed in the workforce, and that NH employers highly desire: Soft Skills including effective communication, team building, problem-solving, and decision making; Essential Skills of adequate levels of reading, math, and locating information. As a career seeker, you will learn how you can use WorkReadyNH to build skills, build confidence, and build your career. As an employer, you will learn how to use WorkReadyNH to support your registered apprenticeship and build a strong workforce.
    • Pre-Apprenticeship 101: Explore if pre-apprenticeship is for you! Pre-apprenticeship programs set individuals up for success in a Registered Apprenticeship program. Career seekers will discover potential career paths by pursuing pre-apprenticeships or kickstart your desired career while still in high school. Employers will learn how to use Pre-apprenticeship to build pathways to your registered apprenticeship programs.
      o Building Career Pathways with Stackable Registered Apprenticeship Programs – Registered Apprenticeships are a proven tool for building career pathways within your organization. During this session, you will learn how to build registered apprenticeship programs that align technical skills and education across multiple programs.
  • SESSION TWO
    • Mentorship: A Key Component of Registered Apprenticeship: Hear from mentors and apprentices in programs developed by ApprenticeshipNH on the importance of mentors for your registered apprenticeship program. Attendees will also have a chance to learn about the online mentor training class.
    • Building Career Pathways with Stackable Registered Apprenticeship Programs: Registered Apprenticeships are a proven tool for building career pathways within your organization. During this session, you will learn how to build registered apprenticeship programs that align technical skills and education across multiple programs.
    • Funding Your Apprenticeship Program: Are you interested in creating a registered apprenticeship program and want to learn more about available resources? Hear from state and community representatives about funding opportunities and resources available to companies looking to recruit and develop a highly skilled workforce through registered apprenticeship programs.
    • Building Equitable Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-apprenticeship Programs: An informative panel discussion on the importance of building equitable registered apprenticeship programs and the potential barriers to a diverse talent pipeline. Panelists include representatives of the Disability Rights Center – NH, Recovery Friendly Workplace, Manchester NAACP, Southern NH Services as well as NH Employers.
    • Career Coach: Mark Bograd, Early College Coordinator at NHTI – Navigating your post-college career options can be intimidating and a bit scary. In this session you will learn about Career Coach, a great online platform that helps you discover majors and in-demand careers based on your interests. A lot of students begin their collegiate career knowing the exact field and profession they want to enter, but a good portion of students do not, and that’s okay! Career Coach is here to help.
