GDS Associates, Inc. has an exciting and challenging opportunity open to NHTI students that have completed one year in a qualified Mechanical/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Technician degree field. There is an educational requirement, as preference will be given to applicants who possess a “C” average or better in related instruction. This grade average would need to be maintained throughout the apprenticeship to remain in good standing. Further preference will be given to applicants expressing a strong desire to continue their educational path towards a Bachelor’s Degree program in a qualified engineering field.
Length of Apprenticeship: One year (2,000 hours), up to two years (4,000 hours) of paid on-the-job training and includes a minimum of 529 hours of related instruction.
About the Program:
Duties performed in this position may include (but are not limited to): Communicate with business owners to understand their energy related goals and objectives; present findings and recommendations from energy audits to business owners and discuss next steps; communicate with team members via email, phone, Microsoft Teams, and in-person; work collaboratively with team members; communicate with contractors and implementation vendors. perform a variety of analysis under direction of senior personnel; work on various energy efficiency related projects; be responsible for managing electronic files and communications; and be responsible for time management.
